大店の若旦那、しばらく姿を消したかと思えば吉原の角海老に居続けしているという。大旦那が番頭を迎えに行かすと、その番頭が三日経っても帰ってこない。続いて頼んだ鳶頭もやはり帰ってこない。怒った大旦那が「倅を勘当する」と奥様と言い合いをしているところへ飯炊きの清蔵が現れる。「おらが迎えに行ってきます」。渋る旦那を説き伏せ吉原へ向かう堅物の清蔵。果たして若旦那を家に連れ帰ることが出来るのか、清蔵の言葉は若旦那に届くのか、角海老での清蔵の孤軍奮闘ぶりが見ものの一席！

The son of a big merchant shop owner has been away from home, staying at a shop called “Kadoebi” in the pleasure quarters of Yoshiwara. The owner sends his clerk to bring his son Toku back, but the clerk doesn’t come back for three days. Disappointed, he then asks the chief carpenter to go fetch his son, but again he seems to have joined the party. Furious, he tells his wife that he will disown his son. Right at that moment, Seizo the cook appears and says, “let me go fetch your son.” He persuades his owner that he is the right man for the role, and heads out for Yoshiwara.
Will Seizo succeed in bringing Toku back? His one man battle in Yoshiwara to reach the hearts of Toku, the clerk, and the chief carpenter, is not to be missed!
