Woodturning long table legs!
In this video I will be making four wood turned table legs. It’s a sort of segmented table leg, made from curly maple and padauk. the lathe I used to turned the legs is a Record Power Coronet Herald, and I used a homemade wood turning steady rest to help stop vibration when turning the long legs. (If you want to see how the steady rest is made, I have linked it down below).
This is part 1 of a 5 part table making series! It is a hallway/console table, made from curly maple and padauk. It was my final project of the year at Rycotewood Furniture Centre. It has turned legs with mitre padauk socks, coopered curved rails and a glass top. I love how the table came out and I hope you like it as well.
