Join me for a walk through my garden as we dive into some exciting summer gardening activities! Today, I'll be planting cucumbers and sharing updates on how everything else is growing. I had a bit of a scare when I couldn’t find my cucumber seeds at first, but luckily, they turned up just in time to beat the rain! I'll show you my tips for planting cucumbers, both on a trellis and directly on the ground, and discuss why I love having them in my garden.

Throughout the video, you'll get a close-up look at my flower-filled whiskey barrels bursting with bachelor's buttons, poppies, and borage. I’m thrilled to report that my tomatoes, marigolds, and onions are thriving this season, and I’ll give you a peek at my carrot and onion companion planting strategy that has worked wonders for me. We’ll also take a moment to talk about garden maintenance. After a couple of weeks away, my garden is in need of some weeding and TLC, especially with grass creeping in and some beans showing spotty germination.

Strawberry season is in full swing, and I’ll share some tips on how I manage my strawberry beds, which are going strong even after eight years. I’ve harvested no less than five gallons of strawberries so far and have been busy making strawberry marmalade, Greek yogurt, and a delicious strawberry glaze!
