How to Successfully Live Within Your Means

“Live within your means”. We are all familiar with the phrase. Like most clichés, it is wisdom that we easily agree with, but don’t necessarily follow.

Your health and financial future depend on you being financially responsible. To "live within your means" means that your monthly expenses must be less than or at least equal to your monthly income. It's far easier said than done for many people.

You can purchase more than your salary normally allows thanks to credit cards, loans, savings, and even emergency reserves.

Once you are aware of your income, you may concentrate on cutting back on expenses to match it. Create a budget, if you don't already have one, and use it to organise your costs and regulate your spending.
