Living on campus doesn’t get any better than Noehren Hall at the University of Northern Iowa. Although this residence hall was initially built in 1967, it has been updated as recently as 2022 to include modern rooms and common spaces as well as pod-style bathrooms. It’s easy to feel at home on campus when you’re living somewhere as nice as Noehren!

You can always feel safe at Noehren knowing that the exterior doors are locked 24/7. Your UNI ID will provide you access to the building. Once you’re inside, you’ll find the hall office where you can pick up your mail, ask the staff questions or even check out games.

Every room comes with loft beds and desks with chairs, making move-in easy. Each student also has their own wardrobe space to house clothes and other belongings.

Laundry facilities are easily accessible on every floor, and you can monitor the progress of the washer or dryer you’re using by checking out Wash Alert. Every house also has a lounge area, which is the perfect place to study, socialize or watch TV. Noehren connects to the Piazza dining center where you can enjoy the Best College Food in Iowa!

Part of the on-campus experience is residential communities. At Noehren, you can live in First-Year Experience or Returner communities as well as Honors and Jump Start. These communities allow you to get to know more students that can relate to you. Every house in Noehren is all-gender housing.

One of the best things about living in Noehren is you’re never far from the latest happenings on campus. You get to reap the many benefits of living on campus, which include adjusting to college quickly, participating in more extracurricular activities and performing well academically.
