Against the backdrop of declining birthrates and work style reforms for teachers, the "regional transfer of club activities" is progressing nationwide. In Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, a complete transfer will be implemented, including holidays and weekdays, from August this year. Club activities at five junior high schools in the city will be abolished and transferred to the "NAGATO Sports and Culture Club (commonly known as N-Club)" operated directly by the city.
