Situated at the base of the Pinaleńo Mountains, Roper Lake State Park lies six miles south off Safford, in Graham County, southeast Arizona. The park is a good place to see a variety of birds and good numbers of dragonflies.
Located three miles to the south, the Dankworth Pond Unit is a great alternative to Roper Lake on crowded summer weekends.
