This is a quick video about an editing trick I recently discovered which I felt, made my footage look more cinematic and aesthetic. It is the trick of applying film grain to your footage. Yeah, I know, not the most exciting thing in the world, but I really do feel that it can make my footage look more "cinematic" or "film like" because it adds texture and personality to the footage. I've just recently started doing this trick and I wanted to share it with you guys. I used to think film grain wasn't important, but now I realize that in the right circumstance, it can add a lot to a shot. So if you want more personality in your cinematic shots, this simple editing trick might add a bit of what you're looking for.
