रूस ने भारत को अपने अत्याधुनिक S-500 एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम के संयुक्त उत्पादन का प्रस्ताव दिया है. यह सिस्टम हाइपरसोनिक मिसाइलों सहित विभिन्न खतरों से निपटने में सक्षम है. S-500 की 600 किमी तक की मारक क्षमता और अंतरिक्ष-क्षमता भारत की सुरक्षा को मज़बूत करेगी. हालांकि, इस सौदे पर अमेरिका के CAATSA प्रतिबंधों का असर पड़ सकता है. यह सौदा भारत-रूस रक्षा संबंधों को और मजबूत करेगा और 'मेक इन इंडिया' पहल को बढ़ावा देगा.

Russia has proposed joint production of its state-of-the-art S-500 air defense system to India. This system is capable of dealing with various threats including hypersonic missiles. The S-500's range of up to 600 km and space-capability will strengthen India's security. However, this deal may be affected by US CAATSA sanctions. This deal will further strengthen India-Russia defense relations and promote the 'Make in India' initiative.
