GIANT ISLAND NEAR MANILA with TAIWANESE LAKE FISH? (Binangonan Rizal)

THERE IS A GIANT ISLAND IN A LAKE JUST NEARBY METRO MANILA, AND I VISITED IT... AND FOUND TAIWANESE FISH?

In this video, I take my motor and head for the Municipality of Binangonan in Rizal Province. About an hour from BGC, this town is a vibrant fishing community right along Laguna De Bay. After exploring the market and eating at a great carinderia, I find myself checking out the various fish. There are a lot of unique lake fish here... including ones that locals call "Taiwanese". From Binangonan Port, I take a boat to the island of Talim. It is a giant island with more than 20 Barangays. Meeting a cool Manong, I hop on his motor and take off for a little bit of exploring.

This was a great day adventure, and first experience getting to know this fishing island community near Manila.

When I make it back to town, I stop by the National Cultural Treasure Sta. Ursula Parish Church.
