Friends of the Phenomenon Ronaldo & Friends of Zidane in 2007

A charity match was held at the Velodrome stadium in Marseille, in which former captain of the French national team Zinedine Zidane, who ended his career in the summer of 2006, took part. This was the famous Frenchman's first appearance on European fields since the final match of the 2006 World Cup. According to Reuters, the "Friends of Zidane" team beat the "Friends of Ronaldo" with a score of 6:2. However, neither of them scored any goals. The game was held as part of a campaign to combat poverty, conducted under the auspices of the UN.
