Ukraine’s secret weapon: Drones hunting underwater bombs

One of the most studied and important aspects of the war in Ukraine is the way that drone warfare has revolutionised conflict forever.

It's been used as a means of destroying tanks, of the most brutal tactics seen on the European soil for generations.

But there's another side to drones, too.

As ever, Ukraine is having to adapt.

New state-of-the-art underwater drones were originally designed to inspect sunken ships or faulty fish farms but now they are saving lives.

As well as the danger of explosion, underwater ordnance is potentially radioactive and can quickly contaminate an area.
