24 player infected mode like from COD (Starts with one person attempting to take out the other 23, as players are taken out they become infected) would be a cool concept for battle mode

Battle Mode is my sister’s favorite way to play, so we do it a lot. I hope it’ll be fun and familiar while still staying fresh, if that makes sense.

Alright, my ideas!

Battle Knockout: Similar to Knockout Tour! You would start on any of the selected battle courses (I've seen Big Donut and what I think could be Thwomp Desert). You'd have a 3 minute match then immediately it's onto the road to the next part of the battle. Depending on what mode, different amounts of people would be eliminated (only Balloon and Coin seem to be here). Coin Runners would require a certain amount of coins to be held at minimum (similar to DS Coin Runners) and Balloon battle will eliminate 4-8 people who get to the next course Last. Then it would be another battle. This is to use the Knockout formula in multiple unique ways. And allows people to catch up or possibly make a final push to avoid elimination.

Live service: I believe this in a Mario Kart would be good. Small updates every 3 months or so that can add characters and karts and even 4-8 tracks that expands the world a bit more. Or Cups and Rallies that shift up the different combos of tracks. Small stuff that waits for possible bigger DLC down the line, yet can appeal to casuals and competition all at the same time by changing things up.

"Premium" skins: Skins not found in races from Dash Food or from Open World. Online exclusive skins that can be earned by winning certain amounts of races or surviving Rallies to a certain checkpoint. These could be Gold skins like in Tour for certain Characters like Mario, King Boo, Wiggler, Peach (PGP), etc. This could be used as a way to get incentive to play Online for people who don't normally

I bought Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, and was so happy the Switch version got a proper battle mode. That + some other changes like double items and more was enough for me to rebuy the game. And i still play 8 Deluxe vs and battle a lot locally together when friends come over. Mario Kart World also seems great, but i do hope it gets a decent battle mode as well

I just want battle mode from Mario Kart 64 to come back where as soon as you’re out of balloons you don’t get to just come back with three more balloons, you lose and come back as a bomb that can’t win but can still get revenge. A perfect system if you ask me. No point in having the balloons if the game is essentially just most hits wins.

- Shine Royale ... 24 player battle, free for all, but, the battle area is limited to an arbitrary distance around the Shine. Meaning, the shine carrier can eliminate players, by getting the hell away from them (rewards players that know well the map).

What about a course creator? You get to pick parts of the open world to be a single race track, allowing you to add some barriers, item boxes, ramps and arrows to lead the drivers the right way.

You'll get the other characters in story, battle mode will almost be like GTA with people coming in and being friendly or fight you, but you can also host battle modes in stadiums.

What if they were building rainbow road in crown city? You can see them building some kind of track and it reminded me of rainbow road just without colors, and if that’s true, what if they were going to use the rainbow fragment to power it? In fact, at night, the tracks light up and have a mix of both blue and purple hues that look almost exactly like rainbow road.
