Where did the classic Reuben Sandwich come from? I will tell you all the stories that may have led to this infamous sandwich. You all know how to make the famous sandwich, we're making a casserole version straight our of 1976! You are going to love it!!

Here’s your recipe!

1) 16 Oz Jar of Can Sauerkraut, Drained
1/2 Lb Corned Beef, Sliced or Cubed
2 Cups Swiss Cheese, Shredded
3 - 4 TBS Thousand Island Dressing
2 Medium Tomatoes, Sliced
1 Cup Rye Crackers, Crushed
2 TBS Butter
1/4 Tsp Caraway Seeds

Set oven to 425. In a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole layer in this order, sauerkraut, corned beef and swiss cheese. Spoon over the thousand island dressing, spread evenly, then top with sliced tomatoes (you may not need all of them depending on the size of your dish). Saute cracker crumbs and caraway seeds in butter. Spoon mixture over tomatoes. Bake 30 minutes.
