GKIDS proudly presents the highly-anticipated new film from director Makoto Shinkai and producer Genki Kawamura, the creative team behind the critically-acclaimed, global smash hit Your Name. The summer of his high school freshman year, Hodaka runs away from his remote island home to Tokyo, and quickly finds himself pushed to his financial and personal limits. The weather is unusually gloomy and rainy every day, as if to suggest his future. He lives his days in isolation, but finally finds work as a writer for a mysterious occult magazine. Then one day, Hodaka meets Hina on a busy street corner. This bright and strong-willed girl possesses a strange and wonderful ability: the power to stop the rain and clear the sky…

I can't explain how amazing this movie was. From the animation to the soundtrack, it is 1000% of the best movies I've ever seen
I HAVE WANTED TO SEE THIS SO BAD, BUT DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS AN ENGLISH DUB. IM SO HAPPY

Wow, I didn’t know they put Josuke in this film.
Saw this in Tokyo and I'm gonna watch it again in the US! Can't wait for film to come out, does anyone have any tissues I can bring with me? 😂😊

I love how they got actual teens to voice the two main characters! It fits and they actually sound their age!
The dub isn't perfect but it's pretty fucking well done
I saw this movie in theaters back in 2020. A friend of mine had our first date and ever since then, we been together. This movie holds a special place in my heart. This is for you, Allie.
