RECIPE:
Chocolate Glaze Cake
PREP Time: 20 min
BAKE: 35 to 40 min
Makes 12 Servings
Makes 1 9 inch Cake
Dry ingredients:
1 Cup all purpose flour
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 Tsp baking powder
1/2 Tsp salt
Wet ingredients
1 ½ cups graduated sugar
1 cup hot milk
1 1/2 cup oil
4 large eggs 217 grams
1 Tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp coffee
Chocolate Glaze
1 cup milk chocolate [to melt]
¼ cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
Measure and prepare all your ingredients set a side
Heat the oven at 300 degrees ten minutes before baking
Grease and line a round 9 inch cake pan.[set aside]
Combine the flour salt and baking powder in a bowl set it aside
Measure the cocoa powder separately
Heat the milk just before adding it to the cake batter.
Add the eggs and the sugar in a blender blend until the sugar has dissolved
Pour it into a large bowl
Then add the oil
mix well
Add the dry ingredients in a sieve over the bowl with the egg mixture
Sift it then, mix with a hand whisk to incorporate all the ingredients
Add the vanilla and coffee
Continue mixing
Then add the hot milk
Continue mixing lightly until all the ingredients are well incorporated
Stir until the oil has fully incorporated
(don’t over mix) Pour it into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes .Or when inserting a toothpick it comes out clean.
Let it cool for 10 minutes
Then take it out the pan
Let it continue to cool on a cooling rack
FOR GLAZE:
Add the chocolate chips in a heat proof mug
Heat it for two minutes in the microwave
Add the butter
Stir constantly until it has reach smooth consistency
Let it cool .
Pour it over the cake serve and enjoy!
